CAMP DETAILS

The mission of this camp is to help you understand fitness and yourself in a new way. 

This weekend is 100% designed for you.  It is to help you know where you are and who you are as an athlete. We create a safe atmosphere for you to test your true fitness and learn what it takes to reach your goals through testing and education. We are here to help you understand more about your own individual journey as an athlete. You will come out on the other side of this weekend with tons of useful tools and information to apply immediately to your life and the gym.  

What to expect 

  • There will be 2 workouts/testing a day 

  • Lecture on each workout/assessment 

  • Individual advice for training priorities based on assessment 

  • Tons of Q and A, please ask as many questions as you can 

  • Learn how to use assessment to create priorities in your training 

  • Learn who you are and where you sit as an athlete or fitness enthusiast 

  • Learn about different energy systems and why we train them  

  • Learn how to prepare and fuel for single day events over multiple weeks (Open or online Qualifiers) 

  • Learn how to fuel and prepare for multiple event weekend competitions

  • Learn how to train through the multiple week competitions while still performing at a high level and staying healthy

  • Learn how athletes peak for their priority competitions

  • Learn how to operate your specific engine for Classes, CrossFit Open, Competitions, and the Games based on your individual fitness level

  • Learn the most effective pace and strategy based on your individual strengths and weaknesses (how to win with what you have) 

  • Learn how to manage stressors in life so you can handle more in the gym 

  • Learn how to recover and what the difference between overtraining and overreaching is

  • Some of the most fun comes from the tangents we will go on from questions.  Please ask them.

SATURDAY

  • 8:00 - 9:00 - KICK OFF DISCUSSION - INTRO, LETTING GO OF JUDGMENT, KNOW YOUR WHY, WHO YOU ARE AS AN ATHLETE, CAMP EXPECTATIONS, AND LAYOUT 

  • 9:00 – 10:30 – UNDERSTAND WHERE YOU SIT AS AN ATHLETE, BIOLOGICAL AGE, TRAINING AGE, SKILL ADAPTATION, PURPOSE

  • 10:30 – 12:00 – AM Testing – NEUROMUSCULAR EFFICIENCY, CP + CP BATTERY 

  • 12:00 - 1:00 – BREAK OUT DISCUSSION

  • 1:00 - 2:00 – LUNCH 

  • 1:00 - 2:00 – BREAK OUT DISCUSSION, TESTING RESULTS, ASSESSMENT, INDIVIDUAL TRAINING IDEAS, PROGRAM DESIGN

  • 3:00 - 4:00 – NUTRITION AND LIFESTYLE #1 – ATHLETE LIFESTYLE GUIDELINES AND SELF CARE

  • 4:00 – 5:00 – PM TESTING - MIXED MODAL “CF” AEROBIC POWER 

  • 5:00 – 5:30 – BREAK OUT DISCUSSION AND Q&A

SUNDAY 

  • 8:00 – 8:30 – RECAP OF DAY 1 TESTING/ANYTHING FROM HOMEWORK OR DAY 1

  • 8:30 – 9:30 – STRESS AND RECOVERY 

  • 9:30 – 10:00 – GAME DAY NUTRITION 

  • 10:00 – 12:00 – AM TESTING – STRUCTURAL BALANCE + GYMNASTICS BATTERY + INCOMPLETE REPEATABILITY 

  • 12:00 - 1:00 - LUNCH 

  • 1:00 – 3:00 – BREAK OUT DISCUSSION, TESTING RESULTS, ASSESSMENT DISCUSSION, PROGRAM DESIGN DISCUSSION, INDIVIDUAL PRESCRIPTION

  • 3:00 – 4:00 – PM TESTING – LACTIC ENDURANCE 

  • 4:00 – 5:00 – BREAK OUT DISCUSSION, OVERVIEW OF THE WEEKEND, UNDERSTANDING WHERE YOU SIT AND A FOCUS TO MOVE FORWARD
